The reason for "Daddy's Girl Club".

In August of 2015, a conversation about the effects of daddy issues on society between a husband and wife became an inspiration and motivation for a TV series. CEO / Founder of Alemaedae Theater Productions, Phil Davis Sr., and his talented wife Taura "Chyna" Stephens-Davis were on their honeymoon in the Poconos, and found themselves watching several TV shows in their villa. One show they watched was Tyler Perry's "The Haves and Have Nots". As they were watching, Taura more than Phil, they begin to have a conversation about the characters on the show, and how they were used to drive the story. Phil and Taura who are known in their hometown of Buffalo, NY, for writing and producing thought provoking and compelling plays, often write stories that are character driven, and present them unbiased to their audiences. Phil noticed that most shows on TV are all driven by excessive drama, that most of the time, borders the ridiculous, however contains issues often that do share some sense of reality. One major issue that the Davis' felt wasn't really being brought to the forefront was the lack of fathers in people's lives, and how that is mainly the root of all the drama seen on TV. Even on "The Haves and Have Nots", most of the pivotal characters all have issues with their father or the lack of one. Countless other TV shows have this same underlying issue, but it isn't the focal point of the series, and sometimes not even addressed.

Daddy issues are universal and exist no matter your age, ethnic background, gender or financial status. Phil Davis Sr, CEO and founder of Alemaedae Theater Productions, has created a new TV Series that deals with these issues entitled "Daddy's Girl Club". This show not only focuses on the women with daddy issues but men who have them as well. Several characters deal with various issues such as domestic violence, depression, abandonment, substance abuse, sexual assault and molestation, among others. This show was created to not only bring attention to these problems but act as a healing mechanism for those who suffer from these issues. A few of the central characters throughout the series take advantage of counseling services, including but not limited to interpersonal therapy and anger management and the show displays the benefits thereof. Each character’s story in the series reveals how some of them overcome these problems in spite of their issues.
